IntermediateFacebook keeps working to increase the use of Stories on its own platform too, and to close in on the popularity of Stories on Instagram. So it has launched another new feature whose main aim is to make Stories on Facebook more appealing. The new arrival is the ability to add music — specific tracks — to any photo or video. It is very simple. Just add the sticker marked "Music" and choose a style and a particular track from the library to play during the story. This way an ordinary story can become an authentic moment through music.
After pressure from users who wanted the option of adding music to their profiles back, the time for rejoicing has come :) Facebook has decided to allow music and tracks on our FB profiles once more. So we can pester others with — or rather present :D — our favourite music. Besides a favourite track, we can even feature video and albums by favourite artists on the profile.

Instagram's statistics are nothing next to what Facebook offers. So Facebook has decided to add Instagram statistics to its platform. Thanks to this we could finally have relevant data on audience interactions with a post, click information and so on. We will also be able to build audience segments. All of it is of course still in beta testing, but you can request access. First you have to set up your Facebook pixel, but once you have, you can request access here.

Instagram has launched three new shopping features that will help e-shops better convey information about the products they promote. Instagram users will now have a "shopping collection" they can use to save products that caught their eye. That gives them access to "shopping collections" in their profile, where they can browse saved items later.

Shopping through video will be possible too. Instagram is adding a shopping icon in the bottom left corner holding the products shown in the video, which will make checking product prices easier for users.

Google Maps will include messages sent through a Google business profile. Last year Google launched a feature letting users send messages through their Google profiles. Now it is adding that feature to Google Maps. Every message you have sent to businesses through their Google profiles will now be available in Maps. Just tap the menu button and then messages, and you will be able to see those conversations without leaving the app.
