For your ad account to work, you need, among other things, to set up a payment method. When making this setting you must be an admin of the ad account and have access to managing the settings. In another of our regular guides we will show this time how to set up a payment method and add a credit card to your Facebook ad account.
If you are on the home page of your Business Manager, you need to get to Billing on the left via the 9-dot symbol.

A page with payment activity will appear. Here you will later be able to see and download invoices and see the status of payments. We need to get to Payment settings.

The payment settings will appear, where you only have to click add payment method.

The first window will appear where you confirm "Location and Currency". In the next window, where you choose the payment method — in our case a debit or credit card — you click "Next", fill in the credit card information and click "Save".

After confirming the card details you will need to confirm adding the card through your bank's mobile app and verify it.
Once you have filled in the details as instructed, you will see the added card in the payment settings overview. You can set it as primary (main), which means it will be the default payment method for your account and everything will automatically be charged to the chosen primary payment card. You can also add more payment cards, or other payment methods such as PayPal or online banking. Should a problem arise with the primary payment method, Facebook can charge the amount spent to any of these backup payment methods.

If you already have the card added in the account and only want to edit or update it, you simply click the "edit" button and fill in the current details in the window that appears.

If you need to swap the card you already have in the account for another, you can remove it. If this payment card is set as the primary payment method, though, it cannot be removed until you add a new card or payment method.

And there you have it. With these steps you can add a credit card to your Facebook ad account quickly and without trouble. Do not forget to look at the other useful guides on our blog.
