JPG
JPG, or JPEG, is a compressed file format for digital images. It is the most common format used for storing photographs and pictures.
Professional photographers prefer to shoot in RAW format. JPG compresses the image and limits the post-production process. The RAW format preserves all the data captured by the camera's sensor without loss of quality. The photographer therefore gets far more precise detail and can change and adjust colours in the photograph in post-production. JPG is used for publishing the photograph itself on the web, because it does not take up much storage space.
